What Happens when Skipping an Ableton Live Upgrade?

Hey there,

I currently have Ableton Live 10 Suite and upon the announcement for Live 11 (I just found out about it today), I have been wondering something in regards to upgrades:

If I skip an upgrade, say I stick with Live 10 until Live 12 comes out, do I have to purchase Live all over again at full price, or does the upgrade cost go up significantly (relative to if I have gotten Live 11)?

Obviously, I'm not expecting anyone to predict the future, but based on the past version releases, has anyone gone from, say Live 8 to Live 10 and what was the upgrade cost relative to already having 9 and getting 10?

Thanks for reading, apologies if there is confusion as this is a rather complicated question for me to explain.

You will still get a special price, although usually it's a little bit higher if you come from an older version.

In other words, you'll get an extra discount if you're on the latest version...

I thought so, just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
