Ableton Forum

My setup on Arturia BeatStep is this:

Pad09 Kick
Pad10 Snare
Pad11 Hihat
...etc.

the two knops "above" the Kick Pad (Knobs 1&9) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.
the two knops "above" the Snare Pad (Knobs 2&10) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.
...etc.

What I would like to have but just cant get to work is:

I hit the Kick Drum Pad no 9 - then ALL the Knobs 1-16 are assigned to BassDrum Related parameters in Ableton.
I hit the Snare Drum Pad no 10 - then ALL the Knobs 1-16 are assigned to SnareDrum Related parameters in Ableton.
etc.

Can this somehow be achieved in Ableton 9 ?

Hey,
after spending quite some time configuring my BeatStep controller to work nicely with Ableton ( >> BeatStep_Q ) I'm pretty certain that you could achieve what you want with a Midi Remote Script!
... at least I can't think of any other way that would allow this kind of dynamic assignments...

However, it might require some programming knowledge (python) to get what you want...
