Hi All!
Sorry for the newbie question, but I'm having problems loading/playing .wav files into Ableton 9 suite.
Some files load & play fine (I'm warping some tracks with varying BPMs for DJ Beat mixing), others don't and I can't figure out why.
Both .wavs are 32 bit depth, 96000 Hz sample rate, PCM coded, 614400 bitrate according to AVS audio editor.
I tried to match my CDJ maximum .wav file compatible file type with Ableton 9 Suite specs & AVS Audio file converter parameters.
Some files play & some don't- Please tell me, WHAT AM I MISSING?????

How big are the files and what's your OS?

I don't have the exact sizes of the 2 files I've successfully warped, but both are in between 500 & 900 Mb in size.
I'm using Widows 10 with all updates & drivers updated to latest current versions as of today- 12/13/2020

I also used 1 of my .mp3 files (320 bitrate) with no problem earlier today

Do you NEED to use 32bit/96k for these? That seems a bit excessive if they are just recordings of DJ sets that were 16/44.1 initially or MP3s. Do they work if you use 24bit, 44.1kHz wav files?

Live doesn't load 32-bit integer AIFF/WAVs, has to be floating-point Little Endian.

Had this problem recently with a 32-bit 384 kHz test file I downloaded to test if Live can play 384 kHz files (it can).

I was simply trying to get the best sound possible out of my files; thruthfully I'm new to all the file conversions rates out there & what will work across all of the programs I use- Ableton, Rekordbox, & Windows. I'll try converting my .wav files down to 16 bit & post my findings........THANKS TO ALL!

Hello All;
Just to finish up this post, I've solved my problem. Wav files will play in Ableton 9 IF they have 24 bit encryption. It turns out all my files (in my 70s folder) are 32 bit encrypted; all I had to do was convert them down to 24 bit. Problem solved!
