[SOLVED] - [Ableton] 10 Suite 10.1.30 / [Waves] WaveShell2-WPAPI_2 12.*.dll - Crashes when closing the application...

Ableton is is crashing when I close my project, and every time I start up I get a crash log, even though I never get a dialog for a crash, only a windows event. It pops up with the 12.0 and 12.1 dll.

Re-installation Process:

• I transferred all my licenses to the waves cloud.
• Uninstalled everything
• Manually removed all remnant and hidden folders
• CCleaned the remaining garbage
• Re-downloaded Waves Central & Offline Installer for my older plugins
• Reinstalled Waves Central and my plugins and licenses

Still happening.

I even tried just uninstalling all v12 plugins before this, one of which I'm actually using in my project, and the problem still occurred.

This is USER error, nothing wrong with Ableton or Waves, You should not be using the waveshell WPAPi dll's at all. You should be using (for example) WaveShell1-VST 12.6_x64.dll and so on, installed by default in C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns.

The following directories do not have WPAPI dlls in them... Still PEBKAC?

My VST2 Directory within Ableton: (I will be moving all VST2 files to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 on my next refresh)
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns

My VST3 Directory within Ableton:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3


The WPAPI files are in: (I'm not pointing to them)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WPAPI

Waves tech support got back with me and suggested I delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WPAPI directory.

That seems to have fixed the problem...
