macOS Catalina gave me trouble importing MP3 files – Please help!

Hi!
I just updated to macOS Catalina (I have an iMac 27" from 2013), and now my MP3 files in my project are marked as
"Sample offline". If I right click and choose
"Show in Finder", Ableton shows me the MP3 file in Finder, so it knows where it's located.
But here what's really strange: If I try to drag and drop the MP3 file back into the project, I just get a very thin box in the timeline, and if I zoom in there really nothing there. The wav files in the project are still there, and I can also drag and drop them into the project.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Do I need to update to Live 10? I have Ableton Live 9 Suite by the way.
I hope someone can help me

prob a permission issue thing, check that Ableton has all the required permissions and whatnot. Apple have beefed up the permissions and caused all kinds of ongoing issues like this.

Thank you for the answer. Do you know how I change the permissions? I tried to look in "Preferences", but I could't find anything

Went into the System Preferences on my Mac and gave Ableton permission, but it stil didn't work. But when I updated to Live 10 now, it works again

LIVE will MP3... before usage CONVERT to a wav/aiff file in store this in a special folder ...
1. Open LIVE_Prefrences > File/Folder
2. See for "CACHE-File""
3. Place this folder to "a better acces" localization.... maybe your (user MAIN-Live-file and create here the sub-folder "ZZZZ cache"
4.
NORMANLY all CONVERTED mp3... will here stored and collected as (live-intern usabel enon comprimes wav/aiff). This CACHE has a limited.... Maybe your oldest ones would overwritten and are now in trash or ever lost... So yeah, set the cache-LIMIT of your own wishes.... an keep a visit all times you thing its need....
5.
.... If LIVE is "missing" files, lets also search there! But NORMALLY if you are KEEP on the SAME computer and never rename/move....
files/folders (in explorer/finder) LIVE will find the refernece-stuff excellent...BUT if you wihs to go to another computer.... its a good idea to "SAVE the whole project with all "stuff"... or so....
