Export audio stereo problem

Does anyone know why sometimes when I export my project, the resulted audio file starts in the left or right channel for a split second then the sound goes back to normal again.

Its incredibly frustrating waiting for the song to render, then when you check the file you find that it has done that.

any ideas anyone?

Look at your master, I've had problems with waves and Slate but that was a long time ago.

Thanks, yes im convinced its a plugin, very hard to pin down though because it only does it randomly. So a process of elimination isn't going to help massively.
