Live 11 windows build requirements

Post by setzer_ » Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:58 pm

Hello, I just noticed it shows a requirement for live 11 on windows to be: "Windows 10 (Build 1909 and later)"

I am currently running win10 LTSC 1809 and I have no plan to upgrade, in fact I don't even think the LTSC version has a newer build yet ?

Any specific reason for this ? is it possible to use the LTSC 1809 build and miss out on certain features ?

I just absolutely despise the state of operating systems right now, and I have a specific customized version of windows that doesn't have all the insane automatic updates and telemetry etc, and I never wanted to update it ever.

I am really sad to see it requires a newer version of windows. Is this really necessary ? what does the new version have in that is required by ableton Live 11 ? Any way to circumvent this ?

Any information appreciated, thanks.

Hmm thats interesting! Glad to hear, gives me hope....

Now I'm wondering if this 1909+ build will be a requirement or recommended ?
