I would say it's not same thing to have it direct on the metering on the faders.
In my opinion it makes no sense to have post fader metering.
I don't want to open a plugin to see how my levels is!

The only time I can see it being vital is building processing chains and least you get a little meter at every link of your chain. It’d be a nice addition as an option though.

I’d be more interested in pre-post fade sends on a channel by channel basis rather than global.

I need this too.
Please add this feature and make it optional to switch between pre-fade and post-fade

i understand why having the option of pre-fader metering might sometimes be useful when recording, but saying that post-fader metering makes no sense, well, that makes no sense. post-fader metering makes sense when mixing. when recording into a computer, the signal level at your preamps is the critical level — seeing it in Live could sometimes be handy, but not really "essential"...
