With the recent release of Live 11 and our normal support channels being a bit backed up at the moment, we are seeing a large increase in users coming to the forum looking for help with an issue. Often they are new to Ableton Live or making music on computers, frustrated, and not sure where else to turn. If this is you, doing a few specific things will increase the odds of you getting help to solve your issue:
- Make sure you're using the latest version of Live available to you.
- Update your OS to the most current version (if you can).
- Make sure ALL your drivers are up to date for things like your sound card, computer, motherboard, etc.
- Try the default drivers for your soundcard, ASIO4ALL is not a magic solution to all situations. The included drivers are almost always better in fact.
- Provide some details about your computer system, audio interface, what version of Live you are using, what OS, etc.
Likewise, while we have a large group of experienced users here who are normally willing to help, we are seeing a disturbing trend of people piling on new users when they don't provide the info above. It can be frustrating wanting to help and feeling like you are not even given the most basic info, but at the same time please remember what seems obvious to you, might not be obvious to someone troubleshooting an issue for the first time.
It doesn't help anyone to repeatedly reply to these threads saying "you didn't give any info so I'm not going to help you!

Likewise when people come here just to rant and rave all angry that they are having an issue, let the mods handle that. We have Ableton employees checking the forums around the clock, often dealing with these people behind the scenes or in private messages. Let our mods manage the forum and any unnecessary outbursts, that's their job so you don't have to deal with it.
Lastly, if you're looking for official Ableton Tech Support, your best bet is to fill out the support request form here with as many details as you can provide:
