Mac: MIDI network and TouchOSC Bridge

Post by Coupe70 » Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:42 am

Hi Mac experts!

I'm a Windows guy, but have to deal with TouchOSC Bridge and MIDI network from Mac to PC.
I need this configuration-free as we have changing operators on the Mac side.
The setup is as follows:

iPad runnings TouchOSC sending MIDI ->
USB connection to Mac (WiFi not possible) ->
TouchOSC Bridge receiving from iPad and sending to virtual MIDI port "TouchOSC Bridge" ->
MIDI fed to network via MIDI network setup ->

MIDI arriving in rtpMIDI on PC

So far so good. Almost...
To get the MIDI data into the network on Mac I have to select the virtual MIDI port "TouchOSC bridge" in "Live routings"
in the MIDI network setup. And everytime I restart the Mac the network configuration is there, but the selection in "Live routings"
is empty again. I wouldn't consider this a bug, but it's annoying and breaks our zero-config approach.

Is there some kind of config file / registry to permanently set this selection?
Any other idea...?
