Screen flickering on high refresh monitors

This has been bothering me ever since I purchased Live 10 (now L11). So just wanted to leave the solution in case someone else is having this problem. I dug around a bit and this has worked for me on Windows 10 (probably works for macOS as well):
- Close Live and navigate to Live's preferences folder. On Windows it's c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live [current version]\Preferences and create an Options.txt file. (macOS preferences folder location is different)
- Open the file and add the line: -_ForceGdiBackend
- Save, close that file, and relaunch Live
This has worked for me. What I don't understand is why they haven't fixed this in L11 when it has been a problem at least since L10 was released.
