Recording a Live Jam from Session to Arrangement View

Hi guys, I am seeking to record into arrangement view a live jam I will be composing on the Push 2, though when I record into arrangement view, I lose playability in Session view. I want to be able to jam and noodle with sounds before locking them into a looping clip, while having arrangement view record the ideation process, but when I Master Record in arrangement view, I can no longer noodle around in session view, I can only hear sounds when I'm recording directly to a new clip. Anyone have a solution to this?
