Launchkey Mini Mk3 Compatibility with Live 9

Hello all,
I am requesting for the Novation Launchkey Mini Mk3 to become compatible with Ableton 9 Suite. I don't understand why it is not fully compatible; seems like they're just being lazy and forcing you to buy 10 because of this.
Additionally, I don't see why Ableton doesn't have a true macro/mapping function. Why can't we just select a feature and map it to any type of external midi controller? This is a pretty basic feature most DJ and production programs offer, so I'm not sure why they don't implement it.
