Hi Every time I download a maxforlive device it downloads in edit mode. How do I fix this so it opens up in Ableton? Thanks.

Your topic's title is probably not very meaningful.
Your question is tricky to understand, at least to me. Can you phrase it differently? Downloading a device in "edit mode" doesn't really mean anything.

This is what happens every time i download a device from Maxforlive website. It downnloads as an amxd file.

How are you opening the device? Are you dragging it into Ableton?

Ok. By dragging the device into ableton it works fine. Before I was double clicking the device after the download. Wonder why you cant just double click instead of dragging the device?

Well that's basically a Max file, so it opens up Max. It's working as expected.
