Super wired behavior

I have a project with multiple Midi tracks and only one Audio track. Here is what happens.
1) I disable audio on Audio track (it is simply turned Off)
2) I arm track 12 (midi) for recording)
3) Record a clip on a midi track. Upon finishing , the moment I click STOP the Audio track gets enabled (turned On).
I have no clue why is this happening. I want the audio track to stay off until I turn it back on.
