Ableton Forum

I was hoping that this feature would be available in Live 11, but no.
Since i switch all the time between two OSX computers my Focusrite Scarlett gets always disconnected in Ableton, if i leave the application opened. Means all the time go to the settings and assign it again.
I really don't understand why this feature is not offered in Live 11.
I do not know any other application where i have to set the audio interface again, even other DAWs (e.g. Reaper) do reconnect, if the interface is found again.

Agreed, this is a real pain to deal with. Sometimes I start Ableton and forget to turn on my interface first. When this happens Ableton forgets all my in and out settings and even if I quit, turn on the interface, and restart Ableton I still have to set it all up again. Ableton should preserve the settings of any interface you use and reconnect automatically.

Continually adding my voice to this one, would love to see this too.

Do the Ableton guys read that wishlist too?
Or what needs to be done that this feature request will be seen and gets pushed?

+1 also. It really would be wonderful to have this constant problem behind me.

+1, this doesn't even feel like a feature request but more like a bug. The default behavior should be that it scans for preffered interface on startup and connects to that one.
