In this example, i have searched for reverb using Apple F. It comes up with 1 plethora of reverbs.

Last night ableton downloaded and installed im assuming the most recent version of live.

Odd. Looks like something got corrupted during the install. I'd go download it and do a clean install if the problem doesn't cure itself. There may be another way to refresh the install if you look around.
