I have Ableton Live 8 running on Windows 8. In Preferences, Midi Ports my TR-S6 is not located. Normally drivers are downloaded automatically however Roland did not write an USB driver for Windows 8, only 10 and a few other Macintosh OSs.

Do we know of a workaround to this problem or the possibility of how to write the USB driver itself?

Midi Cables or some hardware trick are welcome too.

Hate to break it to you buddy but their page states that Win10 is a required OS:

Therefore, no driver or workaround for Win 8. You need to update OS so recommendation would be update to Win10
