Feature Request: after "Split", target later clip instead of earlier clip

If I "Split" (command-E) a clip at the cursor and then Rename (command-R), it shows a text field to rename the earlier clip, though I think it should be for the later clip. This would be more helpful in my case where I split and rename clips as I go.
In fact, in general, if I click to place the cursor between two clips and Rename, it renames the later clip. So it would be nice if Split implemented the same cursor behavior.
