No brainer. For orchestral stuff but also other libraries and plugins this makes articulation switching much less of a pain.

Cubase, Logic, Studio One and Performer all have articulation maps.

You would be surprised. Personally I think this would be a great thing if introduced. Keyswitches in Kontakt etc. can be creatively used as well. I haven't messed with it yet but apparently you can map MIDI channels in DP to keyswitches, then assign each patch in Kontakt to a separate sound entirely.

I don't know if it's possible but it seems that someone could make a Max patch that did this.

I might be surprised. But note that I have made this suggestion myself, as well the ability to see the names of chains rather that their number for the same purpose. Go upvote at centercode.

It's 2022 and there's still no sign of key switching/articulation

I have so many plugins that use articulations, esp. orchestral ones, and I have to add notes for the keyswitch... which works, but I have to remember every time which note is which articulation.

On that part, Logic Pro X is really much better (plus scoring).

I make drum racks with articulation names so at least I can see them on the piano display.
