Ableton Forum

Been using Live for many years but never had a problem quite this bad:
Live will open, load the template set and immediately freeze until force quit. After that it won't open again until restart, when it does the same thing again.

I have tried:
-uninstall and reinstalling
-checking the crash reports (couldn't find any relevant info)
-renaming my plugin folders
-restarted several times
-tried installing the trial in the meantime but it wouldn't let me on an alternate email.

I am using Windows 11 but have been using Live daily on it for months, and havent had any other problems with any other programs. Also I just reinstalled my OS last week.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated as Ableton is experiencing a delay in tech support response.
Anyone have any idea of a fix, even a temporary one?

This happens to me quite often. Open up Task manager select ableton in the list and end task. Restart ableton. Should work.
