Cannot eject/unmount/repair hard drive after using Ableton 10

I've tested this on two separate hard drives and it's the same thing. I've closed all applications, I've tried logging out and back in. My only option (that I know of) is to shut down the computer. I don't like doing that every single time I leave my workstation. What background applications could be running that are jamming me up here?

When I'm with clients, the only programs I use are Ableton, Mixed In Key, Chrome, IP Vanish, & Ozone 9. The Splice app is always running in the background, Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid App Manager, the Universal Audio Console & the UAD Meter Control Panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Do you have any libraries on those HDs that Live could be indexing still?

I have thousands of samples and a few audio effect template racks that are on my HDs that I use. Is that what you mean? How would I stop Ableton from indexing after I close the application?

Has anyone ever run into this? I have multiple hard drives and whichever hard drive I use during the session, that is the one that won't eject. It's not localized to just one specific drive.
