using Nektar t6 midi controller with ableton questions

Im researching for a midi controller and nektar seems like a good buy. They dont offer "deep daw support" for ableton and I'm wondering what that truly means.
Is it going to be buggy and crash? Can you manually map stock plugins and such? Can you even play ableton stock instruments and packs (or only external vsts using nektarine) ?
Should i just skip the hassle and buy m/audio oxygen pro or novation impulse?
