So, after Ableton autoupdated to 11.0.10, my APC40 MKII no longer works and I get an error message stating that the control surface script isn't compatible. Is anyone else having the same problem?



I've read the release notes, and guess this must be related to the control surface changes to support 16 macros

Control Surfaces

Added the following improvement to the functionality of User Remote Scripts:

Device Control:

Up to 16 encoders can be used for controlling Device Parameters.
The Device Activator button can be controlled.

I also checked the error log, and the line it says is failing (line 44 in APC40_MKII.pyc) relates to create_device. So that would suggest I'm on the right track. I guess it's a case of waiting for Akai to provide a new script?

In the mean time, I did think about rolling back to the previous version, but I can't work out how to do that. The archive of old versions doesn't include anything from v11.x

My Arturia Keylab 88 doesn't even boot up and "support" has no response!

MIne just updated to 11.0.10 and my APC40 MK2 is running the same as ever without any faults I can see so far.

Thanks for confirming. Is that on OSX or Windows? Might try reinstalling to see if that helps

Well, I removed all traces of Ableton from my system and reinstalled v11.0.10 and it now works again!
