I never experienced this.
Which VST are you using? Can you reproduce with other synths?
Which Live version?

I never used record quantization, so I need to check.
If you have an older Live on your machine (e.g L10), can you check and compare please?

Ok, I can reproduce. It stops when you deactivate the "chase midi notes" option.
So, it seems to be caused by the record quantization + chase midi notes options used simultaneously.
I can reproduce with VST synths and Ableton's synths.
I can't reproduce in L10.

I just hit this bug today with Live 11.0.11 and wasted an hour before finding this thread. I can't believe it isn't driving more people crazy. It's like a MIDI echo or loop but yet... not. Turning off chase MIDI does fix it. It also does *not* happen in Live 10.

The bug is known and filled. It's fixed in L11.1 (which is still in beta though).

Yep, L11.1.
