Need help: change Push 2 Midi CC No. via sripting?

Hi, I try to figure out a way to change some cc values on Push 2 while retaining all the core functionalities.
My goal is to change the "user" button to MIDI CC64 so it act as a hold/sustain button without any workaround (like max4live).
I checked the de-compiled scripts via GitHub but could not find a line which is telling the "user" button what to do.
Anyone a bit familiar with the scripts who can help out? It seems like a fairly easy task once the right line of code is found
