New to this - need help with Mic echo

Hi,
I am new to Ableton and am using Lite v11.5.
I have a R0de NT2A condenser mic and a SSteinberg UR44 running on Windows 10,
Whenever I record audio, I can hear an echo and not sure how to remove this.
I have the mic on input 4 and set as an audio on Ableton.
Output 5/6 is to my speakers. I also have a monitoring headset in port 2 on the front but this has to be turned right up to hear the mic.
I'm using Auto for the monitoring in Ableton.
I can record the track and play it back, but it sounds like i'm in a concert hall.
Any ideas welcome please.
Thanks,
Andy
