core library

I have used the proper steps on the ableton site for the following that continue to happen

my core library disappears in my update of 11 suite
i have reset, etc, all the things suggested
it's worked
but it happens over and over sometimes disappearing right as i am in a set using ableton

also, my 10 suite is no longer on my list of licenses

i have messaged twice this year with very little help to none at all, just "we need more info" and then, basically links to what I've already done.

i'm a single mom so any help is appreciated as i have invested in ableton since 9 suite and have never had support

my imac has been maintained by certified apple specialists and i have big sur which they installed

i use an external hard drive

at this point i'm trying to get either 10 or the 11 upgrade i got early this year to work

i can't even authorize 10

i'm at the point i may switch to another software as i have been troubleshooting now for almost a year

Hey Naomifix,
Sorry to hear that. Support is indeed under a huge pile of work since covid.
I'm no expert in this area, but I'm pretty sure your L10 license has been merged with the L11 and so you should still be able to download an authorize L10 (by selecting your L11 license when the auhotirzation process logs into your ableton.com account).

Regarding the disappearing Core Library... I'm clueless. The Core Library is part of the Live application itself (since L10 if I remember well) so I have no idea why it would dissapear. Are you sure it's a problem with the Core Library or could it rather be with your User Library?
Also you said that you're using an external drive; what do you use it for in regard to Live?

You will still have access to L10, just wont find a download from your account page. No idea why but it's somewhere more cryptic and not a simple link to follow, more an archive section but would be handy to have a link in ones account tho I wouldn't think downgrading would be the proper fix especially if you have paid for L11

First, being macOS have you checked all the security preferences are enabled for Live?

When you say your library is "disappearing" is it that you need to set the path again in preferences because that has become blank or is it you see no content in the live browser? Could be more a scanner issue than a library issue. Screenshots of the issue would be handy.

on my W10 L11.0.1 install the core library is in "program files" NOT "ProgramData" directory..

I'm still not sure, which is correct?
