I think this is a bug. Sometime when I start somewhere in the timeline using the method of clicking with the mouse one the timeline bar (mouse gets speaker icon) in Arrangement View then Ableton plays a few bars and then starts playing again from the same point and than it just keeps playing as it should.

Is this a bug? I read about it on this forum in a post from years ago. But now in Live 11 I get this behaviour too.

Are you sure looping is of? And Punch In/Out? Most likely it is, but just to be shure.

I use Live 9 suite and 10 suite for almost 5 years now, and never saw this behaviour.

Are you on Mac or PC? I'm on PC.

same here (without loop on), been like that for years, it's annoying but not that much, so I never bothered reporting it

Same thing here on Mac for years - Arrangement, when play is hit, will occasionally play the starting bar twice. I’ve never been able to isolate the how or why this happens sometimes.

It once happened to me onstage with an orchestra.. the conductor (who had my audio in his cans) really raised his eyebrows at me! But he managed to roll with it and re-lead the orchestra.

I'm using Live version 10 and have always had this problem. Hard to tell when/why it happens, but it's not every time.
