Hybrid Reverb Generic Master Track Settings

Hi,

Can anyone suggest generic settings for the Hybrid Reverb on the Master track? In the past, when I chucked a Valhalla reverb on the master track, everything instantly sparkled and that was inspiring. :D The old stock reverb depressed me. :(

NB: I do not intend to become a master of Hybrid Reverb. I just want a quick and simple fix so that I can stay inspired while making music. Also, I don't currently own a Valhalla reverb. TIA.

Bump. No ideas? I suspect Hybrid Reverb is really just a sound mangling tool rather than a good normal reverb like Valhalla.

Why not just drop a track you really like and listen to it ?

When I compare various settings it becomes a blur. When I drop Vallhalla on, the space, sparkle, and joy instantly instantly hit me.

I think Ableton should admit up front that Hybrid Reverb is a sound mangling tool, not a mastering reverb kind of tool. They would make more sales if they made it clear what Ableton is and what its effects are and what its instruments are. People try it out and get disappointed by the sound quality. That is the number one complaint about Ableton that I read online.

How you use anything is entirely upto you, wether thats an instrument or an effect, if it doesnt sound right, thats down to you. Funnily enough I would rather use my own ears, than 'read' someones elses.

Just lower Decay, Wet and the settings that add color (Pitch, Tide, etc.), and keep Vintage off.

Thank you. I will give it a try.
