SOLVED- Why can`t i use-see Custom Vst Folder in Live 11? SOLVED
Answer to my Question can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=244614
So consider this thread "old news"
As the title suggests ,
On Live 10 i have a folder which has subfolders with Aliases divided in groups after Category of use.
Live 11 however, i choose "custom folder" , show Live the thread but they dont show up in the Browser .
Anyone knows what might be the issue?

A better solution than Symlinks would be helpful

Take the time to install things correctly so all your plugins are in a common folder. Makes everything much easier and no need for all this shortcut/symlink complexity.

Taking the time to install things correctly doesn't enable organizing plugins into categories like a shortcut folder does, but thanks for the condescending contribution.

Okay. Installing things in an organized way would prevent problems like this, yes. I agree in that regard.jestermgee wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:12 pmTake the time to install things correctly so all your plugins are in a common folder. But when shortcuts work, which method is ‘easier’ ? Definitely the shortcuts. Shortcuts mean not worrying about where to install things, no modification, no risking breaking things, and no disdain for companies who seem to make things difficult (as it seems you’ve brought up on occasion). On top of that you get way more flexibility with organization. Way way easier.
Though, vst3 seems to do things easiest by maintaining a standard.

I don`t understand how this is relevant to my question. The Plugins are installed beautifully and work Wonderfully.
How exactly will "plugins in a common folder" help with what i am trying to achieve?

No we don't, we don't tolerate abusive behavior here so keep it civil.

The middle finger is for people who chime in with no solutions, just snarky, self-serving bullshit. If you don't have anything constructive to add other than "you should do things like I do" than keep your pointless opinions to yourself, "jestermgee".jestermgee wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:52 pmOf course you do because that's how kids behave when they don't like what they hear

I’d say the same thing there “TheCoil”. At least I made a suggestion that IF you take time initially to install things carefully to a dedicated folder you never have to worry about these things, all you did was throw your rattle out the pram. Don’t like my suggestion, why make childish comments urself?

Seems like there are way too many people, installing plugins anywhere, and expect Ableton to see and scan them. They really should take more care how/where plugins ar installed, basic file management.
Live 11, M1 Mac Mini, Push 2, Scarlett 18i20 & ADA8200, Softube Console 1 Mk2, Deepmind12, Hydrasynth, Cobalt 8M, Moog Subsequent 25, IK Uno Synth Pro, Plethora X3, Nord Drum 3P

Careful, making a suggestion to do things correctly first time tends to get some kids worked up. Guess this is the difference between the experienced users that learned this and don't have problems at the moment and those that have to roll back or wait for another update. Prob is, no one these days want's to hear about suggestions on how to keep things tidy to avoid potential issues like this occurring.Mark Williams wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 9:18 pmSeems like there are way too many people, installing plugins anywhere, and expect Ableton to see and scan them. Hey that’s all that’s left round here, is dinosaurs and the kids that don’t listen.
Maybe a revamp of the forum would shake things up, times have changed a bit since the telegraph.
