Delay Issues (The "normal" fixes aren't working)

Hello,

New user here... I am having a difficult time because my tracks are never synced up. I'll record a guitar track and it seems fine, but when I try to add a vocal track, there's always a slight delay. I have followed all the steps I could find on this issue from the knowledge base, but the problem persists. I was using Ableton Lite, and I was hoping that upgrading to the full version would solve it, but it's the same problem. I am using the free 90 day trial, and I'm reluctant to pay to upgrade until I know this can be fixed. PLEASE HELP! :(

Here's my set-up:

Ableton Live 11 (trial version - for now)
Windows 10
Focusrite dual channel interface
Shure 58 mic, plugged directly into XLR of interface
Acoustic guitar with internal pick-ups plugged directly into 1/4" port of interface

Possibly useful info:
Both the guitar and vocal track show a latency of .18 ms (so I doubt that's the issue).
I am using direct monitoring (though I have tried other ways)
I have turned on/off delay compensation and adjusted buffer settings.
Image URL for reference of settings.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Hi,

My tip would be to use the Asio driver recommended for your interface instead of the MME/Directx driver that is selected.
You can download the Asio driver for your audio interface from the Focusrite site.

This gives you a much better input/output - overall latency.

Try that first.

I can see 108ms of latency on your picture. Of course you're having a hard time with such a huge delay!!

For a start you should be using the focusrite asio drivers

The ASIO driver seemed to fix the problem.. (LOL, I would have tried that, except that the "before you ask for help" section of the forums said, the original drivers are better).

Thank you so much!
