Hi
I think this is possibly a laptop issue but Ableton fails to recognise my Lauchpad MK2 (or Launchpad Mini - same problem) and the laptop says Device not recognised
Sometimes unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable (sometimes into different ports) does the trick but most times not
Other devices work in same USB ports
Nothing seems to work
other items like midi keyboards are fine
USB port issue?

laptop is fairly old - 2012 HP elitebook workstation
Ableton Live 11 but had same problem in 10

Have had similar problem with a Launch Control and a 2012 laptop.. Not an Ableton thing, more likely the laptop.

Tried different USB cables? USB cables are not all created equal.
Go to device manager and see if you have loads of USB devices/connections there - could there be a conflict? Get rid of ghost connections, you can find apps to install that will do that.
Is the device getting power from the USB port? Is power off disabled on the USB port?
