Push 2 sending static electricity to MacBook Pro 14

Dear Ableton and Push 2 users,
I recently bought Push 2 and I got disappointed from the fact that the only way to connect it with a laptop is directly through USB A, which is not the case of course for my MBP 14. I was even more disappointed that the only USB hub that is acceptable is one with external charger. In my case, just to test it if it works otherwise, I connected it with a simple usb powered hub and also through a USB B to USB C cable that I already had. In both cases, I managed to make Push 2 work but I ended up with static electricity on the laptop (similar to what you get when you charge the laptop with its original charger unless you use it with the grounded extension cable - what a shame for Apple by the way).
So, can someone suggest a way to have Push 2 work and get rid of the static electricity on the laptop? Any suggestion or comment is welcome here. Thanks!
