Friends and Foes SOLVED

Post by J_R » Sat Mar 26, 2022 10:29 pm

I've been doing a lot of board searching and have run across members who seem very experienced, well spoken, and helpful.

In the past--on other boards, of course--I've encountered folk who aren't quite so.

I just entered the name of one of the former who I would like to consider a 'friend'--as a way to have a record of his/her name that I might search on in the future. When I clicked [Submit] I got a terse "Confirm...Are you sure you wish to carry out this operation?"
  • Q1) What are the results of carrying out a [Submit] as applied to 'Friends' or 'Foes'?
Q2) By designating someone as a friend or foe am I doing anything further than just recording a name and a preference related to that name for my own convenience?
Q3) Are there any other reasons one might use the Friend/Foe feature of this board?
Q4) Is there any way to specify that when I enter a new topic or respond to a topic, that the box next to "Notify me when a reply is posted" will default to being checked?

Thanks!

Egad! I changed a bunch of options and preferences and notifications and followed each up with the dreaded [Submit].
