Max for Live script

Hi, I been messing with the MaxforLive control surface script and have run into a problem. I’m able to register controls and then get the control so it can be used in a device but when I attempt to release the control it doesn’t work. Normally with other scripts you can get grab and release a control. Does anyone know of any reasons it’s not working with the max for live script? Thanks
