Ableton Forum

Hey all,

I just relocated my user library to an external HDD and now it won't automatically rescan every so often like it used to. This is especially frustrating with Splice, as I have to close and re open Ableton for newly downloaded samples to appear.

Any ideas?

Ableton 11.1
Mac OS 10.15.7

Did you try disabling Splice to see if the issue persists?

Correct. I ran the ringer with Splice support trying everything to no avail. I have a ticket with Ableton now as well.

Ok, let's hope you'll find the problem.

You might have done this already, but my first thought would be to reset the Ableton config then try locating the library again.

Keep the file handy, you can always put the config file back if it doesn't fix your issue.
