Automation Math

Post by zsteinkamp » Mon Apr 11, 2022 1:14 am

Just wanted to put this one out there ... I feel like this should be in the default set of M4L devices, with LFO, Shaper, etc.

This device exists to combine two automation sources using math operator (plus, minus, multiply, divide). You can get some interesting results using two LFOs or Shapers, or a combination, and lets you map the result to a parameter.

Here is an image of a shaper + LFO. The Automation Math device is on the right, showing the added waves.

LMK if you try it, or if you know of something better that does the same thing.

CVUtility (in the CV Tools pack) can do similar things, FYI.
Still, your device seems to offer some flexibility that CVUtility doesn't.
