Well, I actually bounced/exported the samples at 32bit, which I suppose makes an exact copy? And dropped them back in.
I'm not entirely sure if that was what made the difference, because I did delete and reinstall the Grain Scanner as per the recommendation here.
In any case, it sounds to me as if every time I load a project with Grain Scanner instances, the playback varies ever so slightly, I suspect because of randomisation settings? Printing to audio, once I hear something that I like, works for me.

Re: Grain Scanner
I see. It works of course, but it’s way more tedious than drag’n’drop.
Thanks

Simply consolidating should do the trick too, and way more quickly.dariuszickus wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 5:40 amWell, I actually bounced/exported the samples at 32bit, which I suppose makes an exact copy? And dropped them back in.

Re: Grain Scanner
I find in my workflow quite a few advantages of printing to audio, first of all, to release CPU processing power and more importantly, this way stops me from endlessly tweaking MIDI devicechapelier fou wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:42 amI see. It's odd that Ableton hasn't implemented a simple way for offline bouncing yet. Logic and other DAWs had it for years now.[jur] wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 2:11 pmSimply consolidating should do the trick too, and way more quickly.dariuszickus wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 5:40 amWell, I actually bounced/exported the samples at 32bit, which I suppose makes an exact copy?
