Export project as stems

This would be really simple to implement, and is a foundation of pretty much every other DAW I have ever used. I like to use Live, but when I take my work to other studios, they need stems. Sure you can hack like this viewtopic.php?f=1&t=244238&p=1797036&hi ... s#p1797036, but that is a pain.

The way it would work is that you could select one or more tracks, and choose and "Export as Stems" function. This would prompt for a folder, and then export all files including their effects to individual audio files. Addiitonal parameters such as 'combine groups', where grouped tracks can be rendered as a single audio file, or as individual files with group effects would be handy.

Don't the "All Individual Tracks" and "Selected Tracks Only" options for exporting do most of that?

"Selected Tracks Only" is especially useful because it allows you to choose which tracks are exported individually and which as a group. First select a time range in your arrangement, then use Ctrl+left click to select the tracks you want to export. If you select a group instead of the tracks within that group, that group will be exported as a single stem. Effects on the selected tracks are included, for sends and master effects use the option "Include return and master effects".

You will be prompted for a name, which will be used as a prefix for the individual audio file names, followed by the track name.

Edit: Or do you want to batch export individual clips directly from Session View? I don't know of a way to do that in one go. But other DAWs can't do that either since they don't have Session View! :)
