How to organize VST3 plugins?

I am very annoyed how bad VST3 plugins can be sorted!

i have sorted by Folders Synth/FX and MIDI my VST2 plugins, this worked for 13 years. But since Live reads Developers and then puts Plugins into folders that way, its very unorganized and annoying.

Any ideas how to achieve the same organization like i have for VST2 plugin, also for VST3 plugins?

Ableton reads the Developer of the vst3, thats how it is. You could always use Collections and tag/colour them.

This is easy enough if you want to hack the db:

make a vstpreset of you VST3 plugin, move the vstpreset in a folder or subfolder that you like, add the folder to places.

example
vst>EQ>Pro-Q 3.vstpreset

there is also a free app called Live Enhancement Suite.

one of its features is customizable plugin menus.

Yeah but this poorly implemented, why not let us choose what we want it sorted.

VST3 offers more details as Developer. There is FX, Synth and those are further subcategorized and lots of Developers do that.

So once again we have to work around?

Why not let us free drag around plugins in the plugin browser? So we can organize them?
