Dante M1 DVS 4.2.3.1 and Live 11.1.1

I can't get Ableton Live 11.1.1 input tracks to work with DVS 4.2.3.1 Apple M1 with Big Sur. The Dante Virtual Soundcard for native Apple Silicon was just released.
Background -- Dante Controller and Dante Virtual Soundcard are both running/configured on the same Mac.
After working on this for a day I brought up Logic Pro (Apple product) and it worked perfectly. This verifies my Dante Controller is setup correctly.
Note: only Ableton or Logic is used -- not both at same time. I rebooted between tests.
Anybody tried something similar?
I suspect Dante Virtual Soundcard(DVS) wasn't tested solidly with Big Sur as much. I am trying to get something working before I love all to Monterey.
I am not discarding user error:-). The fact that the same works with Logic Pro implies I should be close.
