Making Drum Covers

Very New Here..... I have a laptop loaded with software for Ableton Lite 11 and the Scarlett 18i20. I have my drums mic'd and levels are showing on the Ableton screen and feeding into my head phones. I believe this is properly set up.
I am pouring over all the manuals and You Tubes trying to find the correct sequence to set up a track to record the song separately and recording my drums over it. Then playing it back. Also learning how to adj volumes on the music so MY drums are more upfront than the recorded drums on the laptop. If someone could write some steps to use for the request, that would be great!
Then I would like to copy a recording to a file that would play through my phone.
