The 'hanging dropdown menus' bug is fixed in Live 11.1.6.
Seeing a lot of beach balls while browsing seems to be a different problem than 'hanging menus'.

I also have this issue, I hope it gets fixed soon. I'm on an Mac m1 max in monterey. I've even had it start hanging with an empty session
