How do I get the command button to work again in live?

So I just opened a session and tried to slice (cmd + e) and noticed the command button wasn't working in Live. It works outside of live fine, but I can no longer create a track, slice, duplicate, or anything else using the button without having to do it the hard way.
And I refuse to do it the hard way.
Music is just going to have to wait. Life is hard enough, so I'm not about to make one of the hardest creative jobs you can do even harder.
