Pentatonic Scales

Hi,
I have a G minor pentatonic scale in a MIDI clip (in the basic Order of GBCDF) and by using the launchpad95 melodic step sequencer‘s built in randomizing function I want to randomize just the notes from this scale. But it happens that when the melodic step sequencer randomizes, it randomizes kind of wildly and chooses whatever notes it likes, even such notes outside the desired scale.
My question is: How do I get the melodic step sequencer (or maybe any other device I need to do that) to randomize just the few notes in the scale?
