Controlling Reason plugins from Ableton

Hello, I am using Ableton 11 and Reason 12. I like to use Reason instruments in Ableton.
I have been trying some of Reason's Players. For example, the Bassline Generator which I use as a VST3 plugin. I want to generate a bassline for a chord sequence composed in Ableton.
The Bassline generator has lots of controls to change the rhythm and root note. However, I can not find a way to access them via Automation. Changing a control in the plug UI changes for all clips on that track.
Does anyone out there also use Reason instruments/players/effects in Ableton? How do you control them, and program changes to settings?
