HELP NEEDED: How to use an Allen & Heath XONE:1D in Ableton 11.1.6

Wonderful People,
A friend gave an Allen & Heath XONE:1D to me, which would be a really nice controller for my Ableton Live Setup.
Here's the weird part: The controller shows up in Ableton 11.1.6 in the MIDI Ports part of the Settings but doesn't receive any MIDI Data as a press any buttons on the controller as I don't get the typical flicker in the top right corner of the Ableton Session/Arrangement View.
I know this specific Allen & Heath Controller is a discontinued product. But most of the time the creative people in this forum know workarounds to keep your precious goods running, even if there isn't any official support anymore.
Does anyone may have an idea?
