Remove or reduce overdriven / distortion moments

Post by ZenMusic » Sun Aug 28, 2022 2:17 am

I just made a great (for me) improvisation on synthesizer recorded by Ableton.

I have several moments where I was too loud or too much reverb and overdrove (pinned) the sound producing an awful sound for about 1 second (several times throughout )

Can I tone that down in Ableton other than deleting the peaks ?

thanks

can't say for certain without hearing it but it should be fixable with izotope rx.

We prefer to use the limiter first, to keep the maximum output tame.
