Tapping into MIDI out from soft synths?

Since software instruments turn the MIDI into audio in the chain, is there any way to tap into the MIDI they output? I'd like to capture the MIDI generated by the arpeggiators on Arturia V Collection synths, but I haven't figured out a way to do it.
